When anxiety or past experiences continue to surface

You might notice:

  • Persistent worry or racing thoughts

  • Feeling on edge or easily triggered

  • Avoiding certain situations or reminders

  • Physical symptoms of stress that don’t seem to settle

  • A sense that past experiences still carry emotional weight

You may be managing work, relationships and responsibilities, yet internally, things feel harder than they should. Anxiety and trauma-related symptoms can remain active long after the original experience has passed. With the right therapeutic approach, this can change.

A Focused, Evidence Based Approach

Mind The Way specialises in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) Therapy; a research backed treatment shown to be effective for anxiety and trauma-related symptoms.

Rather than only managing symptoms, EMDR supports the brain to reprocess distressing experiences so they no longer hold the same emotional intensity or trigger response.

Our work is:

  • Clinically grounded

  • Calm and collaborative

  • Structured and intentional

  • Tailored to your pace

We support adults experiencing:

  • Generalised anxiety

  • Panic symptoms

  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress

  • Stress-related triggers

  • Anxiety linked to earlier life experiences

"The journey through therapy with Nick’s guidance and support helped me to understand that anxiety is a normal and useful part of the human condition. It has helped me resist the urge to fight against the feeling but in fact embrace it. Nick’s guidance and insight were instrumental in helping me to achieve this. Starting therapy is daunting but Nick’s grace and warmth makes the process much less confronting. I now view the process as as an investment in myself and my health. Telehealth therapy sessions made the experience much more flexible and discrete working around the other parts of my life. I would certainly not hesitate to attend a future therapy session via telehealth".
